Cheeky Beauty Meets Bliss

What do you get when you pair Cheeky Beauty with Kaisercraft Utopia? Pure bliss.... I really enjoyed coloring Beauty, using the copic hair techniques I learned from Claudette. I notice with each practice, it gets easier and easier.

I just love the colors in the Utopia collection. Each DP in the collection is double-sided, giving you double the options. Here I used the Bliss paper as my background. The opposite side had a pattern of purple flowers which I just cut out to use as an embelly on the card.

I added a touch of elegance with the pearls and used my nesties to cut out the ovals.

Stop by for a visit to see the card IRL. All products used can be found either in-store or online for your convenience.

Hope you are all having a great weekend!!

Moving Circle Card

Last week, I hosted the craft project for our "playdate" here at Pineapple Cove. We made a Moving Circle Card using some Smirk, Hero Arts and C.C. Design stamps. As always, good food, great company and lots of fun!

Everyone's card turned out really cute!! Here's how the moving circle card works:
Simply grab the ribbon handle and turn clockwise to reveal the hidden sentiment.

We all made the same card, using different sentiments and stamps for the hidden message.

Thank you ladies for the great company!! I learn so much from all of you...until next week!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kishaba!

Congratulations Ramie & Greg!!

I had the pleasure of working with this beautiful couple a few months ago on their wedding invitations and guest book. Today's the big day, and I'm SO excited for the both of them.

Hero Arts Stamps on Sale!

Just uploaded some Hero Arts stamps to the webstore, check out the ones on Special until July!

Hello There Girlfriend!

This is Leslie's second card, using the "Girlfriend" woodblock stamp & "Make Your Own" cling stamp by Hero Arts.

I love the shabby-chic feel to this card. And the color combination is so beautiful!

Thanks Leslie for spending last week Friday with me and making these beautiful samples for the store. I had so much fun! Until next time...

You're Sew Nice!

I got the opportunity to craft with Leslie last week Friday...it felt soooo good to make a card. She helped me make some samples for the store using some of the new Hero Arts stamps. She made two gorgeous cards - so shabby-chic, just her style!

The first card uses stamps from both the "Simply Handmade" and "Sew Artsy" set that are available for purchase at Pineapple Cove if you are on Oahu, or online .

I love how she stamped the spool from "Sew Artsy" and wrapped embroidery floss around it. Soo cute, I'm going to have to case this.

Great job Leslie!! I LOVE this card!!

Playdate!

Last week Tuesday we had a playdate here at the store with a group of wonderful ladies that I got the opportunity to meet and become friends with through the store. What started out as a two person playdate has turned into a foodfest day of laughs, fun & crafts!

We decided to do Mexican food potluck, and Yum-O, everything was so delicious!! Leslie made Pork Nopales that we ate with Diane's Mexican rice and Kim's tortillas. OMG - this was DELICIOUS!!

Diane's husband made this gorgeous and yummy salsa dip for us. It had just the right amount of spice!

You can't forget about the cheese & sour cream! Complimented our tortillas so well.

Claudette hosted the craft project, which was a tile coaster that we sealed with mod podge. She made THE BEST fruit salad I've ever seen & ate! I usually stay away from fruit salads because they tend to be on the watery & mushy side. Not this one...the mandarin oranges were so juicy and sweet, it had just the right amount of sweetness without being too sweet, and it was cold and thick, so refreshing!! (Sorry, I didn't take a photo of her fruit salad!)

We were so happy to have Jen and her boys join us. Here she is bringing big smiles to everyones faces with her silly & fun personality.

Cyrus was Mr. Aloha, keeping Roxy busy and having fun with all the aunties. Isn't he such a cutie pie!?! Jen's older son was relaxing in the corner, away from the camera.

Here's Leslie and Robyn, enjoying the delicious food!

Tessa (middle), made us some amazing peanut butter brownies from scratch! I've always had brownies out of the box, didn't know what I was missing until I had her delicious brownies.

Thank you ladies for such a fun day! I can't wait for this weeks playdate.
