Moving Circle Card

Last week, I hosted the craft project for our "playdate" here at Pineapple Cove. We made a Moving Circle Card using some Smirk, Hero Arts and C.C. Design stamps. As always, good food, great company and lots of fun!

Everyone's card turned out really cute!! Here's how the moving circle card works:
Simply grab the ribbon handle and turn clockwise to reveal the hidden sentiment.

We all made the same card, using different sentiments and stamps for the hidden message.

Tessa's Card:

Thank you ladies for the great company!! I learn so much from all of you...until next week!

Playdate!

Last week Tuesday we had a playdate here at the store with a group of wonderful ladies that I got the opportunity to meet and become friends with through the store. What started out as a two person playdate has turned into a foodfest day of laughs, fun & crafts!

We decided to do Mexican food potluck, and Yum-O, everything was so delicious!! Leslie made Pork Nopales that we ate with Diane's Mexican rice and Kim's tortillas. OMG - this was DELICIOUS!!

Diane's husband made this gorgeous and yummy salsa dip for us. It had just the right amount of spice!

You can't forget about the cheese & sour cream! Complimented our tortillas so well.

Claudette hosted the craft project, which was a tile coaster that we sealed with mod podge. She made THE BEST fruit salad I've ever seen & ate! I usually stay away from fruit salads because they tend to be on the watery & mushy side. Not this one...the mandarin oranges were so juicy and sweet, it had just the right amount of sweetness without being too sweet, and it was cold and thick, so refreshing!! (Sorry, I didn't take a photo of her fruit salad!)

We were so happy to have Jen and her boys join us. Here she is bringing big smiles to everyones faces with her silly & fun personality.

Cyrus was Mr. Aloha, keeping Roxy busy and having fun with all the aunties. Isn't he such a cutie pie!?! Jen's older son was relaxing in the corner, away from the camera.

Here's Leslie and Robyn, enjoying the delicious food!

Tessa (middle), made us some amazing peanut butter brownies from scratch! I've always had brownies out of the box, didn't know what I was missing until I had her delicious brownies.

Thank you ladies for such a fun day! I can't wait for this weeks playdate.

Tea Lights & Mini Composition Books

I had a crafting play date today with Kim, Claudette & Leslie - we had a blast talking story, crafting & enjoying some lunch. It's been a while since I got to actually "play", so it was a very nice break from work.

Claudette taught us how to make the adorable tea light cakes she learned from one of Teri's tutorials. Thanks Teri for such an adorable and "outside of the box" project!! These cakes are so quick and easy to make. I can think of SO many possibilities for Bridal Showers, Birthday Parties, Anniversaries...really any occasion.

Leslie was so kind to give us these adorable plastic containers that fit the tea cakes perfectly!! Another option would be to create a cute little cake box to house the tea cake. If you are interested in the containers, they will be available for purchase from Pineapple Cove. We also have a few die cut options in the store for making boxes that would fit these cakes nicely.

Another project we worked on were mini composition books. Leslie made the one on the right and I made the one on the left. The cute labels are from Papertrey Inks' Take a Note stamp set. I fell in LOVE with this set and will have to go get me one now.

The books were super quick and easy to make. I'm going to use mine for my To Do list that I carry in my purse, so I didn't want to put too many embellishments on it that could fall off. As a sealer, I put a thin layer of mod podge so that it can withstand the wear & tear of going in and out of my black hole.

It was a very productive, fun and exciting day for me to be able to craft with the girls. Claudette made us all some delicious Black and White cookies! Leslie gave us all a bag of her Really Yummy Snack Mix. I can't wait to open my bag as I drive home tonight. And Kim brought along her adorable little guy Jonathan, who didn't make a peep the whole time we giggled & crafted. Best baby ever!!! Thanks girls for such a wonderful and fun day! I can't wait until next time!!
