Sorry we've been MIA last month..we were busy with different events throughout the month. Got some photos & updates to share..will post those for you soon. In the meantime, wanted to let you all know about November's classes. The schedule has been uploaded to the website, you can CLICK HERE to view the details.
Here's what we'll be making this month:
Hello Kitty Tea Box - Thanks Chalsie! I was fortunate to receive one of these from Chalsie a few months ago. I thought these made perfect office gifts for the holidays, so cased this project to teach this month.
Gift Box & Waterfall Card - Sally will be back to teach this months project. We'll be decorating a plain box, turning it into a cute gift for any occasion, as well as learn the timeless technique of how to make a waterfall card that you've seen throughout blogland. Photo will be available soon.
Kids Class - Christmas Ornaments - Our 1st kids class @ The Cove!! Kids of all ages are welcome to attend to make 3 Christmas ornaments. We will have fun playing with glue & glitter.
Explosion Box - This popular class is being repeated this month. This is another great idea for the holidays, or it can easily be adapted for any occasion like Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding, etc. This box measures about 4" wide and 4.5" tall. The lid of the box opens to reveal goodies on the inside. You can even adapt this box into a mini scrapbook..come and learn how.
We'll be offering the following specials when you sign up & register for a class:
Kids Ornament Class - Class fee $3. Save $1 when you sign-up 2 kids for $5.
HK Tea Box, Monthly Card Club & Explosion Box Class - Register yourself & a friend and receive a $5 credit to be used the same day on your purchases.
You can call 735-3553 or register in person. See you all soon!

Explosion Box w/Fuji
Earlier this month, I was lucky enough to be able to participate in a fun class taught by Fuji Murakami to learn how to make an Explosion Box. Fuji took her Stampin' Club on a field trip to Pineapple Cove to teach them this cute box that when opened, explodes to reveal hidden goodies.
Photos from the class are available for viewing on the left-hand sidebar. The finished product is large sturdy box with a bottom and a lid. When you open the lid, the inside "explodes" to reveal hidden pockets where you can insert gift cards, tags, notes, stamped images, etc. The entire project uses 4 (four) 12x12 sheets of DP. We used Kaiser Kraft DP since they come with four coordinating colors, as well as it's double-sided, which made the box even more pretty and unique.
I'll be teaching this class in October - so look out for my newsletter, or check the Calender for updates. I had a dry run teaching this class today with a bunch of girlfriends from Blog-Land. They were so sweet, they brought the party to the store so that I could participate in the fun. So I taught them how to make this box...there were a few hiccups along the way (sorry girls!!), but in the end, we were able to figure it out. =) Thanks for a fun filled day!
Got some new inventory in that I'll be posting afterwards. Hope you are all have a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!
