November Card Club Class
Sally was back teaching different paper crafting techniques in her monthly card club class @ The Cove! This month, we decorated a gift box that was perfect to hold your handmade cards, or a small gift. The gift box was covered with pretty designer paper, blinged out with Kaisercraft rhinestones & flowers, and we even made our own ribbon handle. Check out the photos from the class in the sidebar to the left.
Sally showed us how to use liquid adhesive & a brayer which was the best medium to evenly adhere the designer paper to the glossy finish on the box. We got to decorate with bling rhinestones - gotta love the bling. And we finished off the box by creating our own cute handles with the crop-a-dile, some paper flowers and ribbon. The transformation from plain white box to cute, adorable keepsake was fun and easy.
Next, we got to play with rub-ons and more bling while learning how to make a waterfall card. Who knew rub-ons could be so easy to use? I'm sure you've all had your own experiences with rub-ons...they don't come off when you want them to, sometimes you miss a spot and sometimes you rub off more than you wanted. Sally taught us some great tips & tricks that made them so easy and less intimidating. The Kaisercraft rub-ons came off so easily and with little effort. They really added a nice touch to our card.
Hope you can join us next month...we'll be altering CD's and turning them into gorgeous Thank You cards. I'll be posting a photo of the sample soon.

Kids Class - Christmas Ornaments - Our 1st kids class @ The Cove!! Kids of all ages are welcome to attend to make 3 Christmas ornaments. We will have fun playing with glue & glitter.

This is another great idea for the holidays, or it can easily be adapted for any occasion like Birthday, Anniversary, Wedding, etc. This box measures about 4" wide and 4.5" tall. The lid of the box opens to reveal goodies on the inside. You can even adapt this box into a mini scrapbook..come and learn how.
