Baby Boy Onesie Card

The Onesie card is one of the dies in our collection of Accucut dies available at Pineapple Cove for you to use for FREE when you purchase paper from the store. If you have your own paper supply you want to use, no problem! There will just be a small cutting fee to use our die cut machine.

This Onesie was custom made for a customer who needed Baby Shower invitations for her daughter. They are expecting a boy and wanted a Hawaiian feel to the invite. We also designed and printed the invite details on the inside of the card.

Through the Years

I've been wanting to put together an album of Victor and I for some time now. I always put it off, not knowing where I wanted to start, what theme I wanted to go with, etc.

Having to make a something for the store forced me to just sit down and get it done. It was sort of a last minute, rush job - but I am happy with the end result...as you look through the pages, you can tell I started getting tired and losing some of my mojo towards the end. =)

Hope you enjoy the album...here's the details:

Mini Heart Album from Kaiser Craft, painted the edges pink with acrylic paint and covered each page with DP using modpodge.

Flowers & rhinestones also from Kaiser Craft. Used my Shimmerz paint pots to add more bling to the flowers. {Noticed that I've been using shimmerz on EVERYTHING, love this stuff!}

Punches were from Marvy & Quickutz.

The album has 5 pages and holes are pre-punched on the side. I simply used two O rings that I covered with ribbon to hold the pages together. It was a quick project that was put together in less than a day. The last page still needs some finishing touches, and I'll be adding "to be continued...." to the back of the album.

If you are still thinking of what to get your special someone for Valentine's - this is a quick project that holds so much memories and meaning.

Thanks for visiting! I had a lot of fun reminiscing through the years with this one - boy was life easier back then! =)

Love...

I've been seeing a lot of lace and doily's around in cards & layouts throughout the web, so I got inspired to see what I could create with them. Found these cute 3" heart doily's at Walmart lastnight and thought it would be perfect with the Shimmerz.

So I bought a pack of the white heart doily's and spritzed it with the new Vibez by Shimmerz in the color Razzle Dazzle Berry. I loved how it turned out.

I then found some valentine paper with the word "Love" printed on it...since it looked like a newspaper print-out, I tore the edges and distressed it a bit. Added some Pixie Dust Blingz to the edges and finished off with a satin bow.

This card style is out of my normal comfort zone, but I'm happy with the way it turned out. I'm really having a blast playing with the Shimmerz line of paintz and spritz...you can pretty much apply it to anything with ease and the drying time is so fast. Also love the fact that it's water based, so easy to clean & non-toxic for the little ones.

These cards are on display at the store, so you are welcome to come see it IRL.

Add a Little or ALOT of Shimmer!

I wanted to make a sympathy card for a dear friend and came up with this layout using Hero Art's cling stamp, some Shimmerz and Blingz. The card has been modified a little from the original.

I simply inked up the Hero Arts "Large Flower" cling with Staz-on Opaque in Cotton White and stamped on Bazzill Kraft cardstock. I am loving the Hero Clings!!

Instead of markers, I opted to color in the large flower with Shimmerz in Magenta and Blingz in Pixie Dust. Unlike Stickles which takes forever to dry - these were dry in a few minutes, leaving a very pearlescent shine.

If you're interested in the Shimmerz line of paints & misters, I'd love to show you a demo.

Card Holder Class

We'll be making a card holder on Sunday Jan. 24th from 1:00p - 2:00p. With Valentine's around the corner, I chose pink & brown colors to coordinate with the cute Sweet Confections DP we just got in. The buttons are wooden flower buttons colored with Pink Shimmerz.

Open the card holder to reveal pockets full of fun! Going with the Valentine's theme, you can fill the accordian style pockets with love notes to your honey, some coupons for dinner, spa and other goodies. The possibilities are endless to your imagination.

So come and join us on Sunday for this class. This project can be altered to any occasion like Birthday, Baby, Thank You, etc. You'll get to choose your own paper selection. Just bring the basics. Call or visit the store to pre-pay & reserve your seat.

We're also offering the "Bring a Friend" program where both of you will receive a $5 credit to use towards your purchase the same day if you & your friend sign up for class.

See you soon!
