Sally was back teaching another great class filled with tips & techniques! This time, we got a chance to turn two plain 4x4 coasters into a fun mini accordion album.
The two coasters became the front & back cover of our album.
The inside pages were created with white cardstock. We cut the cardstock down into two 3.75" x 12" strips. Scored the strips every 3.75", and then attached the two strips together which created 6 panels for us to decorate & add photos. Tip: If you are looking for more pages, simply cut and attach another 3.75" x 12" strip.
After attaching the inside pages to the coaster covers, decorate & embellish to your hearts content!
Each student received the same set of cardstock to decorate their accordion album. It was so fun to see everyone's style come through in their albums.
We used some Marvy punches to add some journaling tags to the album.
It was a great class! If you are interested in taking one of Sally's classes, please don't hesitate to contact me or view the schedule of classes. Sally usually teaches once a month here at Pineapple Cove. In addition, we have the coasters available for purchase in-store or online!

Recent Projects
I have some fun projects that I worked on a few months ago to share with you....
Back in April, I got a chance to create some favor boxes for the Junior League of Honolulu. They were holding their 6th Annual Sacs in the City fundraiser, and this cute purse die cut was a perfect match to their theme. Don't you love the sassy feather boa handle? I had fun putting this together for such a great organization! Thank you Janice for the opportunity!
Next up is Blackberry card that I created for a client. The recipient spent alot of time on her Blackberry, updating the Kahala Mall Twitter account. So they wanted a fun way to say "goodbye".
I really enjoyed figuring out how to turn paper into a 3D blackberry phone. I wish I had taken a photo to show you the scale of the card, as it was very close to an actual real-size blackberry. It even has the camera in the back!
These fun custom projects have been keeping me busy, along with some wedding invitations that we've been designing. As a courtesy to the bride & groom, I will post photos of the invitations as soon as I know they've gone out in the mail! Wouldn't want to spoil such an exciting moment for them!!

Fun Weekend
Sorry I've been MIA for a while...lots to update you on!
Last weekend, Claudette was here teaching her Copic hair coloring class. I finally remembered to take some photos this time, so wanted to share the fun we had. Everyone did SO well with their coloring, we were so proud! Thanks Claudie for another great class!
Stella was our coloring subject, her bob hairstyle was perfect for learning how to highlight and shade.
We hope to squeeze in one more coloring class next month, so stay tuned! Claudette will be teaching her coloring technique on flowers & foliage using one of the new Hero Arts stamp set.

Copic Hair Coloring Class
This past Saturday, Claudette was here at Pineapple Cove teaching a Copic Class on coloring black hair. We had two sessions with a small class size so that everyone was able to see and follow along. We had so much fun, I forgot to grab my camera to take some photos. Sorry!
We used Stella from The Greeting Farm as our sample subject and I have to say, everyone on their 1st try colored amazingly! It was so much fun, we'll be repeating the Copic Hair class in June and adding a Flower & Foliage class for our next series.
Thanks to everyone who attended, hope you had as much fun as we did!
I wanted to share a project from Norma who attended the class. She doesn't have a blog...maybe we'll be able to convince her to start one *hint, hint*. Look at her amazing coloring! She went home right after the class and worked on this altered Easel Card.
Can you say AMAZING? I just LOVE the way she placed the highlights in the hair of the 3 TGF girls. You did an AWESOME job coloring Norma!!!
I'll keep you all posted of the upcoming Copic classes as we firm up dates & times.
